What an exciting campaign! I threw my hat in the ring on the last day of filing, went up against a well-funded incumbent (who put up billboards), and still only lost by 19 votes. 19! Out of 10,069. Less than 0.2 percent of the vote.

This proves that every vote counts.

I’m conceding this race, but I’m not done with politics. Best wishes to the winner. Thanks to sponsors, fellow candidates, voters, friends, and my boys for their encouragement. And I‘ll look for supporters again soon.

Tomorrow is Election Day! Let’s do this. Polls are open tomorrow 6 am - 7 pm.

I am in it to win it. My priorities are excellence, vision, and access. I’ve been involved in higher education my entire adult life:
- Community college student activity in government
- Proud Mart parent of a Lincoln Land Community College graduate.
- College instructor
- Internship supervisor for college students
- Administrator.

We are walking precincts again tomorrow. I’d love some help. We’re hanging literature on doorknobs, so there’s no talking necessary. The weather will be great and we’ll all get some steps in.

Meet at Lindbergh Park (ball diamond side) at 11 am. We’ll fan out from there. Even 1 hour will be a big help!
