🔧 ANOTHER DIAGNOSTIC & REPAIR COMPLETED AT CLARK’S GARAGE 🔧

A 2009 Hyundai came in with multiple driver-side issues:

❌ Inside driver door handle would not open the door
❌ Driver window was inoperative
❌ Customer was unsure if the problems were related

Instead of guessing and replacing parts, the vehicle was properly diagnosed to identify the root causes.

Diagnostic findings:

✅ Failed interior driver door handle assembly
✅ Failed driver master window switch assembly

🔧 DIAGNOSTIC SUCCESS STORY 🔧

A 2017 Hyundai Ioniq Hybrid came into Clark’s Garage with transmission shudder, hesitation during takeoff, RPM flare during shifts, and loss of manual shift mode.

Instead of guessing and throwing parts at it, we performed a complete diagnostic process:

✅ Road tested vehicle
✅ Retrieved and analyzed fault codes
✅ Monitored live transmission data
✅ Evaluated dual clutch transmission operation
✅ Inspected transmission actuator wiring and connectors
✅ Compared live data to known operating values
✅ Researched manufacturer service information and recall history

What we found:

The vehicle was setting a P0914 Shift Motor Hall Sensor fault. Live data showed the odd-gear side of the transmission actuator system was not providing proper position feedback, causing the transmission to avoid normal operation of that gear set.

After further research, we confirmed the VIN was affected by a Hyundai Hydraulic Clutch Actuator recall involving the same system identified during diagnosis.

The result?

The customer now has a clear direction for repair and may qualify for a manufacturer-covered repair instead of spending thousands of dollars replacing an entire transmission.

This is why proper diagnostics matter.
