Reminder: Starting February 1, if you don’t have a REAL ID or acceptable form of ID (like a passport!) for domestic flights, you may pay a $45 fee to verify your identity through TSA ConfirmID. A passport card ($30) or passport book are both accepted REAL ID alternatives for domestic air travel and can help you avoid this fee, but just remember that a passport card cannot be used for international air travel (you'll need a passport book for that). Learn more about the Real ID policy at TSA.gov/real-id and about passport cards at travel.state.gov/passportcard.

Three super cool couples are leaving the cold behind and heading to the beautiful Secrets Playa Esmeralda Resort & Spa! A recently opened adults-only, all-inclusive resort along the secluded Playa Esmeralda shoreline in Miches. This spot has an absolutely gorgeous beach and unique charm.

✨ Wanderlust Wednesday ✨
Burano. The colorful island of lace. Many international magazines include Burano among the top 10 most colorful cities in the world. And it is spectacular!
An ancient legend says that fishermen painted their houses to see them from long distances when they were far away for fishing. Whatever the reason, this island is a must see for it's beauty and charm. We arrived on the island in the evening with just enough time to browse through a couple shops before they closed for the day.
We wandered the little streets and marveled at these unique houses. What must it be like to live here? We found a Piazza where the leaning bell tour rose up from behind the buildings. As we sat there we saw kids playing in the street while their moms chatted. To get just a glimpse into the very different and wonderfully slow-paced lives of these locals felt like a gift. If you get the opportunity to visit Venice, you must make time for Burano.

This week is all about Curaçao, a Dutch island known for its unbelievably clear blue water and rich, colorful culture. 🏝️
Downtown Willemstad is full of pastel buildings and waterfront views, and we noticed right away how many tourists spoke Dutch and locals spoke Papiamentu, far more than English. It gave the island such an authentic feel.
The places we spent time have been beautiful, welcoming and easy to fall in love with.
🌍 If Curaçao is on your wish list, I’d love to help you plan a trip that fits your style and pace.

One of the many reasons I love the Sandals/Beaches brand is that it’s family‑owned and Jamaican-owned. Most of the team at their resorts are locals from Jamaica and the Caribbean. And the way this company shows up in hard moments really stands out.
In the aftermath of Hurricane Melissa, five of their eight Jamaica properties were technically ready to welcome guests soon after the storm, but executive chairman Adam Stewart chose to keep them closed until Dec. 6, giving staff space to care for their own people first. And even while the doors were closed, they continued receiving pay and benefits. That says a lot.
With those five resorts reopening in just a few days, it feels like the perfect time for a little tribute to one of our favorites: Beaches Negril. This is where we brought our girls for their very first Jamaica trip in 2018, and where we got to surprise them again in 2020 after a year that threw more curveballs than any of us expected.
Spectacular beach, unforgettable moments, and a team that makes the place shine even brighter — that’s the magic of it. If you know, you know: Jamaica doesn’t just get visited, it gets felt. And when you leave, you take a little piece of it with you.
One love 🤍🇯🇲☀️🌴
