Karl Benz, a German inventor, registered the first vehicle patent for the Benz Motorwagen in 1886. It wasn't until Ford produced the Model T in 1908 that cars became available to the general public.

The world record for removing a car engine was set on November 21, 1985, by the UK Royal Marines. They took only 42 seconds to remove the engine of a Ford Es**rt! The 5 Royal British Marines were in Portsmouth and practiced for two weeks to accomplish this feat.
