Chapter 1 of Atomic Habits summary.
1. Tiny changes make a big difference - Habits compound on each other so making several small changes can add up to big results. If you got just 1% better each day then you would be 37 times better at the end of a year. Doesn't matter how successful you are right now, but are you on the right trajectory towards your end goal.
2. What progress really looks like - We all want massive results now, but reality is not usually massive results immediately. We have to continue pushing until we get past the plateau of latent potential. If you get past this, usually results start going up steadily.
3. Forget about goals, set systems instead - If all you have is a goal but no plan or process to get you there and stay headed in that direction then most likely the goal will not be reached or will only be hit temporarily. We have to put systems into place in order to stay on the path to success.
