Understanding standard drink size matters! One can, bottle, or glass does not always equal one drink. Sometimes it’s binge drinking in one container. Binge drinking is defined as consuming five or more standard drinks per occasion for males and four or more standard drinks for females. A standard drink is 12 oz. of beer (5% ABV), 5 oz. of wine (12% ABV), or 1.5 oz. of distilled spirits (40% ABV). The APRC has a Binge Drinking Facts infographic highlighting the risks of and strategies to prevent binge drinking.https://www.prevention.org/Resources/d2fddf1c-049a-4a31-848f-891852827f58/Binge%20Drinking%20Facts.pdf
