Springfield Wednesday Night Rumble

May 18th results, as a reminder we're racing every week now. The conditions were very close to perfect out there tonight.

We have changed the frequency of the race to every Wednesday. So I hope to see everyone on Wednesday.

This was the final race of the season and as such was lengthen to 7.6 miles, in addition a strong wind was added to raise the difficulty. Even with that, there were strong performances by all racers although there were no head to head races battling it out for position. Jake won the ZRE paddle provided by ZRE rep Rocky, your go to guy if you need a great racing canoe paddle. Don and Daryl each won a ZRE hat. Kaitlyn and Charlotte finished the course although no time was given, Crystal had trouble with the surfski and tough conditions and was not able to finish. Special thanks to Shorty for being the official timer for all these races. See you folks next year after the time change for more great competition.
