Three very different scenarios, yet there is a common thread here... The concept is basically how expectations change in relationships. Or, rather, how what you imagined in the beginning does not turn out that way in the end. I think there is a quiet strength when you read these in the order presented, however. The writer goes from fulll-blwon codependency, to walking away from what is hurting her, to naming what she wants & letting go of what she is not looking for, even if it isn't a bad thing like the others.
