Building community, one bench at a time!
Volunteers with NWA Bench, coordinated by Rebecca DeClerk in partnership with Fayetteville Strong and Studio X, along with other community partners, have helped bring 26 new benches to transit stops throughout the four cities served by Ozark Regional Transit.
Today, Mayor Molly Rawn joined the volunteers to help celebrate the effort and presented Fayetteville Strong with a Certificate of Partnership recognizing their commitment to improving transportation access and mobility in our community.
Also in attendance was our Executive Director, Joel Gardner and Adam Waddell of Razorback Transit, highlighting the collaborative spirit behind improving the rider experience across Northwest Arkansas.
These community-built benches provide riders with a more comfortable place to wait while supporting a broader vision for accessible, connected transportation throughout our region.
Thank you to every volunteer, partner, and supporter helping make this project possible. Together, we’re creating a more welcoming and accessible transit system for everyone.
