Wrapping up Ladder Safety Month with the most important rule: The 3-Point Contact. Two hands and one foot, or two feet and one hand—no exceptions. If you need tools at the top, use a hoist or a tool belt. Never carry items in your hands while climbing.

Tip: Keep your belt buckle between the side rails to avoid overreaching.
