AC condensation leak through ceiling and down the wall..Mold remediation then remodel. Such a common problem.

So we recently finished a shower demolition and rebuild in Carlton Woods creekside. The family had a water leak going through the ceiling to downstairs. This shower was built a few years ago by a commercial company that had very high ratings and great recommendations. They wanted a reputable builder to do the job. The tile work was amazing but unfortunately the guys who built it didn't understand how to water proof anything literally. No slope grade before the barrier, no waterproofing the seams, used sheetrock mud to do the seams, was missing one bolt for the drain fl**ge and the bolts weren't even the ones provided (stainless) instead just regular steel bolts. They hoped silicon would do the job..lol. the bench seat was filled with bricks and sand that can never dry out from seepage, etc..etc.. horrible. Bottom line.. they paid dearly to have a big company do this and still it comes down the the people doing the work. The contractor collects his high price and sends in his tile guys to do the job...with obviously no experience in building a shower. But the tile job was nice...lol.. sometimes a super high price is just that.. do your research. They were out of warranty but we did take photos and documented the trash. I wish them luck on any attempt to recover cost.
