Home batteries aren't just growing at a faster rate. They're being installed at a genuinely larger scale than ever before.
The U.S. residential battery storage market hit a record 2.7 GW installed in 2025, a 92% increase from 2024, according to Wood Mackenzie's latest U.S. Energy Storage Monitor.
That distinction matters: percentage growth can look dramatic off a small base, but a volume record like this means real homes, in real numbers, adding real capacity to the grid. It's the clearest sign yet that residential storage has moved from early-adopter niche toward a mainstream home upgrade.
