Yesterday this tick was found on a small child in the spring valley NY area, he's lucky he found it on time...

It's the summer kids are playing outside, but we gotta remember to be careful from ticks. Ticks are known to sometimes carry lime disses.

Best practice to avoid ticks:
Avoid wooded and brushy areas with high grass and leaf litter.
Walk in the center of trails when hiking.

Know the difference between winged Ants vs Termites.
1) have 3 body parts: Head, Thorax and Abdomen - while have 2: Head and a straight body.
2) wings are equal in size. wings are larger in the front than the pair in the back.
3) Termites have straight Antennas while the ant's antennae are elbowed.
4) Termite wings are twice as long as their body. Ant wings are shorter.
