"The Breath That Remembered"
In the beginning, the Spirit was not owned.
She moved like wind over water—unseen, uncontained—breathing life into all things without asking permission. She did not belong to temples or thrones. She belonged to creation itself.
But over time, men who feared what they could not control began to name her.
They built structures of stone and law and said, “The Spirit speaks through us.”
They wrapped her in language, confined her to doctrine, and reshaped her into something smaller—something obedient.
They forgot that breath cannot be caged.
Generations passed, and the world grew quiet. Not peaceful—just quiet. The kind of quiet that comes when something sacred has been buried beneath expectation, control, and silence.
But the Spirit was never gone.
She lived in the places they did not look—
in the intuition of women,
in the laughter of children,
in the stillness between heartbeats.
And one day, she remembered herself.
Not as something given.
Not as something taken.
But as something inherent.
She rose—not in anger alone, but in clarity.
No longer would she flow where she was not honored.
No longer would she create where she was not seen.
She became discerning.
And where there was reverence, she expanded—
turning connection into creation,
and creation into something whole.
But where there was control, she withdrew—
leaving behind only echoes.
The world began to change.
Not because the Spirit fought to be free—
but because she simply stopped answering where she was not respected.
And in that silence, truth grew louder.
