As John F. Kennedy once said, “My fellow Americans, ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country.”

This experience taught us that music and history are intertwined in so many ways. Music has the power to tell stories of our past and it carries on with us over time. History is always in the making and we all contribute to history in our own ways — even through the act of music. As musicians, we didn’t just learn about our nation’s history, we were a part of it.

Our performance at the John F. Kennedy Center is one that we were honored to be apart of and an experience that we will cherish and remember for years to come. Our performance can be found at the following link: https://youtu.be/pTpZEqlkiWA?si=m6ya5MPKLOvlYcWG

We want to thank EVERYONE who supported us through this process and helped make this experience possible for our students. We couldn’t have done it without YOU and we are grateful to have your support and encouragement.

We were honored to witness and be a part of history this past Memorial Day weekend. Words can’t describe how grateful we were for this incredible opportunity and we look forward to looking back fondly on all of the memories that we created and got to share together.

Here is a sneak peak into the performance we were so fortunate to be a part of this past weekend at the John F. Kennedy Center in Washington DC. 🎶

We are performance ready! 🎶

We are officially one week away from performing at the Opening Ceremony of the National Memorial Day Parade in front of the National Archives Building in Washington, D.C. (which will be broadcast on local news stations), and just six days away from performing alongside the Capital Wind Symphony under the direction of Dr. Craig Jessop at the Kennedy Center for the National Memorial Day Choral Festival.

We are so excited and proud to represent Spring Hill during this momentous occasion as we honor those who have made the ultimate sacrifice and made this opportunity to celebrate 250 years of freedom possible.
