What should you look for when hiring someone to do electrical work?

➡️ Licensed and insured: they must have an electrical license and, in Texas, they must have their TECL number posted on their vehicle. You can ask to see their license and their insurance.

➡️ Experience and recommendations: look for someone who has experience in the trade and good recommendations. Are they able to troubleshoot and find a solution for you? Is their solution short term or long term?

➡️ Good communication: make sure they communicate with you about your electrical issue and are able to explain what services you are receiving and why.

➡️ Warranty: do they ensure high quality and warranty their work?

We highly recommend making sure you choose a qualified electrician when hiring someone to do electrical work. You don’t want to need to call an electrician to fix an unqualified contractors work and end up paying for your service twice.
