Mold in your attic isn’t always obvious — but it can affect your entire home.
This attic had moisture buildup from poor ventilation that caused hidden mold growth on the roof decking. We HEPA-vacuumed, treated, cleaned, and re-vacuumed the area while running negative air pressure to keep airborne spores from spreading to other parts of the home.
This process protects indoor air quality and helps prevent mold from coming back.
If your home has had:
• musty smells
• roof leaks
• poor attic ventilation
• or past water damage
it may be time for an inspection before the problem spreads.

Getting busy putting this kitchen back together. Insurance didn’t want to match uppers, so we figured out a way to make that happen for the homeowner. She is happy and that’s what matters most.

❄️ Snow + Freezing Temps = Ice Dams & Hidden Leaks
With this freezing, snowy weather, ice dams can start forming along your roof. When that happens, melting snow has nowhere to go and can back up under your shingles, causing hidden leaks inside your home.
🔍 Watch for these warning signs:
• Brown or yellow stains on ceilings or walls
• Bubbling, peeling paint, or sagging texture
• Soft or damp drywall
• Musty odors or cold, damp spots along exterior walls
Even a small leak can turn into mold and bigger repairs if it’s ignored.

🌡️🧊 Winter Tip from Remedy Reconstruction
How Frozen Pipes Actually Burst (and How to Prevent It)
Most people think pipes burst because they freeze.
But the real culprit is pressure.
When a pipe freezes, ice forms inside and expands. That ice pushes water toward the closest shut-off or faucet. With nowhere to go, the pressure builds until the pipe splits, usually in:
• Crawlspaces
• Exterior walls
• Attics
• Under sinks
Once temperatures rise again, that split becomes a full water loss in minutes.
How to prevent winter pipe bursts:
✔ Keep household temp at 55°F minimum, even if you’re gone
✔ Open cabinet doors under sinks to let warm air in
✔ Let faucets drip overnight during cold snaps
✔ Insulate exposed pipes in garages, crawlspaces, and exterior walls
✔ Know where your main shutoff is — every second counts
If a pipe bursts, remember: water spreads faster than you can see.
We can be onsite quickly and handle everything start-to-finish.
