as well as movement practitioners, athletes, and those who value movement day-to-day that want to move their movement practice, dancing, connection, or self-expression to the next level using movement dynamics, biomechanics, expressive principles. My current work is integrating principles of nature and principles of body movement (and dynamics) through creative community dance projects. I use Laban Movement Analysis, Kestenberg Movement Profile, Latin embodied movement principles (rooted in African and Latin-American dances), and Patterns of Total Body Connectivity (or Basic Neurocellular Patterns). Couples and Individuals: Private sessions (dance or movement based) for individuals, couples, and small groups. For couples, I offer coaching and sessions for reconnecting and communication through dance, using the Non-violent Communication (NVC) / compassionate communication model as well as movement dynamics to open (re-open) connection and intimacy. Learners: Group or private instruction in latin, salsa, swing, and ballroom dance for those who have always wanted to learn! My approach is experiential and I use body-based (or 'somatic') tools to help you get even more out of our sessions together. You will learn fundamental movement skills along with learning particular dances. I enjoy working with all types of couples, or with solo dancers and students. Developing and experienced dancers: I can develop dance drills especially for you (for those who want to work on technique -one of my favorite things to do!) help you put the work in on your technique (Latin, Rhythm, Salsa, Swing, Ballroom) and design solo choreographies for practice or performance - doing a mix or fusion of Latin and Contemporary, or helping you choreograph something that suits you. Technique practice is engrossing, meditative, and rewarding, as is solo choreo especially in this time. Develop your presence, increase your level of embodiment of your favorite dance or movement
