Grief and pain are normal reactions to climate change and all that it implies.
You are invited to join together in community to share your particular experience moving through this strange time and contribute to the River of Tears sculpture, a living memorial intended to act as a vessel for our pain, confusion, anger etc... and a way to move through it to whatever lies on the other side.
"We are not people protecting nature. WE are Nature protecting itself." Casey Camp-Horinek, leader of the Ponca Tribe.
You are invited to participate in the making of a living memorial to this unique moment in time:
We begin in ritual creating a safe and sacred space for you to explore your personal grief and anxiety as they relate to the changing climate.
This exploration happens individually, mostly in silence and through the process of a wet felting a tear.
Your tear is meant to hold your grief and will become part of the River of Tears sculpture.
