Lovely day to do the rooftop reading at the GetLit festival and Bookfair. There were so many wonderful talented writers and I’m so thankful that I got to be among them. ☺️

More poetry. Still working on this one. The working title is called “Oranges” Been trying to share more of my work and put myself out there.

A poem I wrote after I got denied coverage for a medication that could help improve my quality of life. I’ve had for over a decade. It developed because of my untreated severe psoriasis that I’ve had since I was 9 years old. I’ve waited over 2 years just to see a specialist. She worked so hard to try and get the medication covered. My body feels beaten and broken and I’m in constant pain. I’m doing everything I can to figure this out and I’ve had some people give me some really good advice. I’m trying to let myself grieve so I can pick myself up and keep going.
