There is a profound shift that happens when a young creative finally sees their own brilliance reflected back at them.

Months of sketching, sewing, and meticulous adjustments culminated on the runway last week for our 8th Annual Fashion Show. Our youth stepped into the spotlight and completely owned their craft. But executing a vision on stage is only half the magic; the other half is having that exact moment of triumph immortalized.

We are incredibly honored to collaborate with Spokane photographer to share these stunning visuals. When you look through their lens, you don’t just see high school students. You see fully realized, professional student designers and models who have poured their souls into their art. They didn't just document an event, they captured the exact second these young creators realized their own limitless potential.

Thank you, - for honoring our students' vision with your own incredible artistry.

Take a moment to swipe through these beautiful shots, leave some love for our creators in the comments, and be sure to follow to support the local professionals who support our youth.

If you see someone you know, tag em and let's celebrate their creative vision together.

Most high school music programs teach students how to read notes on a page. We teach them how to command a stage.

When we first set out to build a rock-based music program, there was no standard curriculum to pull from. As Matt Heritage, our music director noted, the success of this initiative relied entirely on whether the youth would step up to the challenge.

They didn't just step up, they amplified it.

Instead of traditional classroom recitals, our high school arts program is designed to mirror the real industry. Our student musicians aren't just practicing in a vacuum; they are forming their own bands, mastering their instruments, and preparing to enter the Spokane music scene as capable, confident artists. They are learning the profound discipline it takes to perform live, and the intense teamwork required to keep a band together.

Now, it's time to turn up the volume. On Wednesday, June 10th, we are hosting our 1st annual outdoor Art Exhibition & Music Festival. This is a massive, public celebration of project-based learning, featuring live sets from our very own student-led bands: No Recollection, Flourish, and Hot British Rats.

If you're a local professional looking to support arts education in Washington, or if you just want to see what happens when a teacher gets to play Metallica alongside his students, this is where you need to be.

There is a massive difference between reading about economics in a textbook and actually building a local marketplace from the ground up.

On June 5th, our Class of 2027 is doing exactly that. They aren't just hosting a high school fundraiser; they're managing the Summer Kickoff, a massive Spokane vendor market that brings our local economy directly to our campus.

At Innovation High School, we believe the best way to teach youth leadership and project management is to hand students the reins. Right now, our juniors are actively organizing the logistics for dozens of Spokane small businesses, coordinating with local artisans, and setting up their own booths as student entrepreneurs to pitch their own products to the public. They are learning how to network, how to execute a large-scale event, and how to take total ownership of their senior year expenses.

We want the Spokane business community to show up in full force for these young professionals.
