Ceramic Fusions is another operational division of CreativeInc. It is the direct result of a dream to create art that is useful and to make art that is available to anyone. I believe that everyday functional ware can have sculptural aesthetics too and thus be appreciated by everyone, not just the art connoisseurs. This is also a platform that will be used to raise funds for international charities
from the sale profits to help a better cause. Knowing that what I make will play a part towards something good motivates my creativity energy to another level. Why 'Fusions'? The influence of my technical background in computer science is evident in my designs of tableware and jewelry. The intermixing of the technical elements in my creative output is also bears resemblance of my hybrid origin in Singapore with Chinese and Indian parents. Having moved from Singapore to Europe, my work is also influenced by my travel adventures between Asia and Europe. My visceral need to create stems from my goldsmith father's ancestry with 4 generations of artisan goldsmiths from India. And my passion for clay started me on this road in 2001. For 10 years, my first career in IT Consulting supported my passion. Since receiving my Masters in Sculpture at Essex University, England in 2012, my sculptures have been chosen for international art exhibitions such as the CAA in San Francisco and the Florence Biennale in Italy. http://www.alagirisamy.com charts the origin of my art career. Working between France, Spain, Geneva and England, I design and create unique contemporary pieces, inspired by any everyday moments. Each piece is individually handcrafted, adding my own personality to its style. Handmade in porcelain or stoneware clay, it is bisque fired to 950C degrees in an electric kiln, glazed and re-fired to 1280C. Remember, when you buy what I make, we are both giving back something to society through the profits that are donated to non-profit organisations. The selected charity will be announced at the end of every quarter. I hope you enjoy using and wearing my designs. If you have a special design in mind, please feel free to get in touch with me for a custom-made piece, just for you.
