As we head into Independence Day, we hope everyone enjoys a happy and safe holiday weekend. 🇺🇸

We recently came together at the Northeast Community Center to retire a longtime flag and raise a 250th Anniversary Betsy Ross Flag in recognition of this historic year.

Thank you to Lieutenant Trevor Winters, of the City of Spokane Police Department Honor Guard for leading a respectful flag retirement and for being part of this moment with our community.

Make sure you and your neighbors have what you need this fire season. If you ever need to leave home quickly, keep this list handy. The most important thing is getting out safely.
If smoke or air quality gets bad, the Northeast Community Center is open to you — come in Monday through Friday, 8am–5pm, for clean air, a cool space, and familiar faces.
