Puppy love on National Puppy Day! 🐶

Today is the last day the Spokane Humane Society adoption center will be open at BARK and we want to give a special shout out to our adoption center specialist, Jeana! She worked tirelessly and compassionately every weekend to help find the shelter animals their furever homes. Thank you, Jeana for your love and care for the animals and for facilitating so many amazing adoptions at BARK. ❤️🐾

The Spokane Humane Society has two adoption locations where you can continue to visit find your furry BFF. (Main Shelter & NorthPoint PetSmart).

It’s with a heavy heart and after much consideration that we share that we have chosen to not renew our lease and will be closing our doors 4/12/25. While there was some interest in purchasing the business while for sale, ultimately, the timing came for us to make this difficult decision. It’s been an incredible 5 years with 1354 animals finding their furever homes, $90,000 donated back to the Spokane Humane Society, and countless moments of joy and excitement. 

To the Spokane community, from the bottom of our hearts and paws, THANK YOU! Your support of our mission has been the driving force behind our every step. 

To our amazing and dedicated team: Your passion, hard work and daily support of our mission have been the core of our journey. We’re grateful beyond words for every moment.

To the Spokane Humane Society, we are profoundly thankful for the valuable partnership that allowed us to make a positive impact on animal welfare in our community.

While this chapter ends, the memories that were created will last a lifetime. We would love it if those who have adopted can share stories/photos of your adopted furry friends with us in the comments as we close this amazing chapter.
