STA Paratransit

Earlier this week, I was contacted by a rider of the STA Paratransit system (which sucks BTW) and he was told he couldn't drink on the vehicle.

According to the Paratransit A User Handbook pages 51-52 in the section called "A Few Rules" bullet point number 1 it states a person can't drink from a non-spill proof container. The person was drinking out of a plastic Coke bottle. The container is spill proof as when the person is done the bottle cap is placed back on the container to make a firm seal. If it was a Coke can then it would be a non-spill proof container.

So in this instance your driver was wrong to reprimand the consumer.

I have advised the PAX that if he gets a write up to forward it over to us and we will advise them to contact a lawyer as this is gross negligence on your behalf of your agency.
