This project was an awesome transformation and a bit of a challenge. The floor was from the 50’s and was an unusual mill and glue together. It was 1.5” by ¾” Red Oak that was glued together and installed as single 3” boards so you can see double butt ends. We couldn’t source the 1.5” fast enough or cost effectively enough so we had to purchase 3.25” Red Oak to match and mill 1.5” boards and route the tongue and groove after our rips.

It turned out amazing and we were able to extend this floor after the great remodel to match the existing. The client went with Weathered Oak stain and opted for some flush mount vents.
