Cup Karts Canada – Official Update
First-Ever Canadian Four-Cycle Nationals
We’re not even 24 hours into registration…
and honestly, we’re a little blown away.
Over 110 entries already. That kind of response means a lot to us. It tells us this is something the community believes in… something racers and families want to be part of.
And for that — we’re truly grateful.
This event has always been about building something special for Canadian four-cycle karting.
Something grassroots. Something family-driven. Something that belongs to all of us.
And right now… it’s happening.
📊 A quick update on capacity:
• One class is already over 50% full
• Two others are over 40% full
If you’re planning to race… now is the time.
Once these classes reach their caps, that’s it.
We want to make sure everyone who’s serious about being part of this historic event has the opportunity — but spots are moving quickly.

From the bottom of our hearts — thank you.
We’re just getting started.

Cup Karts Canada – Mise à jour officielle

While we were in Indiana for Cup Karts North America Grand Nationals 9, we had the opportunity to check out Indianapolis Motor Speedway 🏁
We went behind the scenes to check out the media centre, timing, VIP floor, gasoline alley and a room we shall not mention🤫 BMW had a training day so we also got to see some cars on track too!
We learned a lot about the history of the track which was pretty cool and got to experience what a podium celebration would be like 🏆
Maybe we will go back there someday to watch the Indy 500…or race in it💭🏎️

Cup Karts North America Grand Nationals 9 RECAP
🇨🇦🏁🇺🇸
DAY 1️⃣ Learning the track, improving times! By practice 4, lap 2 Will was sitting 24 of 40+ drivers in his group and getting faster - he avoided an incident but then got t-boned hard. Total damage - new axle, new rims, bent rotor, new chain, slight sprain to right hand. Lots of work done to get the kart back on track thanks to the team. Big ups to for the axle and for the rims. 🙏🏻
DAY 2️⃣ Happy Hour went well ending up 26 of 40; had his best time in quali ending up 16 in his group putting him 32 to start heat 1 and within grasp of the top 60. Lost ground on start of Heat 1 but was able to battle back to 33. Sitting 63 in the points and feeling more confident heading into HEAT 2.
DAY 3️⃣ Warm up was short, was pushed wide turn 1 and hit the curb hard and his front bumper became a bulldozer…Will barely made it off the track, bumper was toast and we RUSHED to get a new one and to get on track for HEAT 2. Didn’t make it far before being pit maneuvered (according to fellow racer behind) on entrance of corner two 3 wide and was off. Got back on track ok but at the back of the pack. Head down and pushed for another best time on his own to finish the race. He tumbled down the points after that and close to the back of pack for HEAT 3. Kept up with the draft for most of the race but was losing air in front left and his gains were lost in the end. He finished the day feeling pretty disappointed but the pressure was off and his focus was on the LCQ.
DAY 4️⃣ Last Chance Qualifier early morning and Will was pumped. He had a good warm up with some of his best times. The race went well, great gear, in the draft - was up 8 positions before losing two on the last corner. In the end gained 6 positions, finishing 16 of 27 with the 7th fastest lap time of 1:14.788!
Didn’t make the GRAND FINAL but finished on a high🙌🏁 After 13 track sessions including 4 races with 40+ drivers on track, 3 incidents requiring repairs 💸 there were too many highs and lows to count. With great teammates, new friends, family, coach, and support - every minute was worth it.
Shout out to Will’s warrior Nonstop Racing teammates who endured mega crashes and incidents out of their control (kart flips, t-bones, and more) Alex Brovkovich, Sam Werier, Jaydan Newson and Cadel Racing. Down on luck, rich in spirit and perseverance - they all fought hard to the very end 💪🇨🇦
Thank you to Che Smith for everything under the Nonstop Racing tent and beyond, John LaBrie for his work on the kart and mindset and our track family for all the love, laughter and memories we will take away❤️
🙏🏻 to Cup Karts Canada & Canadian Karting News for the support of all the 🇨🇦 drivers and Cup Karts North America for such a great experience👊
