Visio Divina is translated as “divine seeing” and is related to the prayer form, Lectio Divina – “divine reading.” However, instead of Scripture, this form of prayer uses visual elements to help set our minds on prayer, allowing God to speak into our heart through images. It becomes a way to pray through art, using icons, paintings, sculpture, stained glass windows or scenes in nature.
