Pastor Jon preached Sunday about divine connections, the relationships God puts together, not just the ones we choose for convenience.

There are people God calls us to walk with, build with, grow with, and serve alongside. These are not random connections. They are kingdom relationships that help us recognize purpose, grow in maturity, and keep moving in the direction God has called us.

We were never meant to fulfill divine assignment in isolation. God knows who belongs in our lives, and part of wisdom is learning to recognize the connections He has placed there.

“the whole body fitly joined together”

Today we celebrate Independence Day and 250 years since the signing of the Declaration of Independence.

We thank God for the freedoms we enjoy, for those who have sacrificed to help protect them, and for the opportunity to live with gratitude, honor, and purpose.

As we celebrate our nation’s independence, we are also reminded that true freedom is found in Christ.

“Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.”
2 Corinthians 3:17

Happy Independence Day from Reformation Church.

One of the strong reminders from Sunday’s message was that God does not plant us in His house so we can stand at a distance and criticize what is not growing. He plants us so we can take part in what He is growing.

Sometimes the area we notice the most is the area God is calling us to serve. Sometimes the thing we are tempted to complain about is connected to the very grace, wisdom, or anointing God has placed in us to help build.

Growth requires maturity. It requires people who are willing to get their hands in the soil, speak life over the house, cover what is still developing, and serve with the heart of Christ.

The garden grows when the people planted in it begin to take ownership. Not ownership in pride, but ownership in love, honor, and service to what the Father is building.
