Now scheduling SUNDAYS at 9:30am w/ Courtney! Yay!!! šŸ’«

07/04/2026

This Fourth of July, we celebrate 250 years of America—honoring the courage, resilience, and hope that continue to shape our nation.

At SAMA, we believe freedom is more than a date on the calendar. It’s found in every intentional breath, every mindful movement, and every opportunity to grow stronger together.

Today, may you find freedom in your body, peace in your mind, and gratitude in your heart.

šŸ‡ŗšŸ‡ø Happy Independence Day from all of us at SAMA.

Every pose asks a question:
Can you stay steady?
Can you stay present?
Can you breathe through the challenge?
That’s where growth happens.
That’s the practice ✨

The more we learn, the more we realize that less is often more.

Holding space without feeling the need to fix, entertain, or add allows us to experience what we actually need: rest, integration, and the opportunity to simply be.

The practice isn’t about doing more—it’s about trusting that enough already exists.

Meet Arielle, a veteran yogi at SAMA and recent YTT grad! šŸ’« She will be leading this week’s Emerging Flow on Sunday at 10am! Learn a little more about her šŸ‘‡

Q: What first brought you to yoga?
A: I first discovered yoga as a way to stretch and cool down after a run or workout. It began as a simple recovery method which opened the door to a much deeper practice.

Q: What made you take the leap into yoga teacher training?
A: I’d been contemplating a training for years with the intention of deepening my personal practice. When I found SAMA, I knew I wanted to learn from Brenn and Laura, so it was an easy and natural decision to take the leap.

Q: If you could describe your teaching style in 3 words, what would they be?
A: Grounded, intuitive, and functional.

Q: What pose has challenged you the most or taught you the biggest lesson?
A: Pincha Mayurasana. I’ve been working on Pincha for over 3 years, and even though I still haven’t held the pose, it has taught me many lessons about being consistent and trusting myself and always leaving room for play.

Q: What’s something yoga has taught you off the mat?
A: Yoga has taught me to be patient and to take time to notice the in-betweens of life. It’s helped me remember to breathe and that it’s okay to slow down in a world that is constantly rushing.

Q: What’s one thing people might not know about you outside of yoga?
A: My first job was as an airbrush and henna tattoo ā€œartistā€ at a popular tourist restaurant in Destin, FL.

Q: What’s one thing you’d tell someone nervous to walk into a yoga class?Ā
A: I’d tell them that nerves are natural and part of the experience. Showing up is already yoga in itself, and nothing more is required. Move in a way that feels good to you and trust your breath and your body.

Q: Why are you excited to teach Emerging Flow at SAMA?Ā
A: I’m excited to teach Emerging Flow because I get to share some of my favorite movement patterns while reconnecting with the space and community I’ve loved practicing in for the past 2 years. It feels meaningful to contribute to the energy that inspired me.
