. In 2009 South Riding applied for and was granted 501C4 status with the IRS. All persons who purchase residential property in South Riding automatically become members of the Association and such membership is not severable unless and until the person sells their property. This membership entitles the property owner to all of the rights and privileges afforded by the Association's Articles of Incorporation, Declaration and Bylaws (Governing Documents). The Governing Documents also create certain obligations and responsibilities for the property owner, including but not limited to requirements to pay annual assessments and to abide by certain covenants and rules. With over 6,300 homes and 28,000 residents it is one of the finest large scale communities located in Loudoun County, Virginia.
