Color Me Rouge

My baby's 16, oh how time flies,
A whirlwind of years, and wistful sighs.
She once asked "how" and "why" with wide eyes,
Now I'm the one with questions, lost in surprise.

I'm bursting with pride, though she may not know,
Her sweetness and spirit, a true work of art to show.
We've grown together, side by side,
Learning from each other, as life's path we ride.

With no handbook in hand, we navigated the way,
Teaching and learning, day by day.
My first child, a precious gift, pure and true,
I'm grateful for her presence, and the love she brings anew..
