Tonight in Burlington, VT we’ll be wrapping our tour with the amazing and her band of killer players. We’re doing our last show opening up with our duo at tonight before we start making our way back down to our desert home in the Mojave. ’s “Look Who’s Back” album is out today! We recorded this at (aka & I’s house in the Mojave desert) a ways back and it’s finally seeing the light of day and being shared with the general population as of this particular moment in the lunar cycle and star configurations. We recorded this at a time when our little home studio was just starting to pick up steam, but this was a big step, as it was one of the first established artists we’d brought in to work here, and it kind of solidified the identity of Ta**us Rising as a studio and helped to put in motion the last few years of me mainly doing recording, production, engineering and mixing as my main gig. So, not only is it an important album for the band as they embark on a new chapter of their long and rich history as an independent rock and roll group (very few bands or artists survive as long as these guys have in these harsh times for musicians), but it’s also a monumental album for me as it was a major turning point in my existence as a life long dedicated doer of all things music. We did the majority of the tracking for the album over 4 16 hour days with me at the helm producing and engineering - often shirtless eating pizza and drinking tiki drinks the boys kept coming to keep me in good spirits - and they took it back to their home base to do any additional overdubs, and eventually stepped in to handle mix duties and applied the neccessary mix magic to bring this whole thing together into the cohesive pieces of contemporary rock and roll that you hear before you now. Thanks so much to the Nudies & everyone involved ( - major shout out for helping to wrangle the whole crew and keep them from wandering off into the cold desert nights). Thanks for letting me be a part of the whole damn thing.

Playing tonight as part of the group at in Santa Fe, then tomorrow bright and early (by musician standards) I’m doing a solo set of my own music on the Timeland stage at the Field of Vision festival! On Sunday there’ll be two sets of Pearl band at the festival as well!
