We’re almost there. We need just $350 more to cover the vet bills for Bruce Lee and Jackie Chan — two dogs who were found abandoned on the streets of Bakersfield, matted to the skin, severely anemic, and fighting bilateral ear infections. They do not deserve to have endured this pain. 💔🐾🐶

The rising cost of vet care makes our work even harder. We need your help!

$350 is all that’s left. Can you help us close the gap today? Look at their amazing transformation! 💕🐾

Georgie is one of those dogs who stays with you. ♥️🐕‍🦺♥️

This very special boy is estimated to be around 4 years old and was found dumped on the streets of Stockton. Georgie was born without eyes and has a facial deformity, but what he may be missing in sight, he more than makes up for in heart. 💖

He is truly one of the nicest dogs. Gentle, loving, trusting, sweet, and so incredibly kind. Georgie gets along wonderfully with other dogs and does well with all people. He moves through the world with so much softness and love. 😍

Georgie needs someone who can appreciate his unique appearance and big heart, and recognize the extraordinary dog he is. He may look a little different, but he deserves what every dog deserves: a safe home, a soft bed, gentle hands, and a family who loves him exactly as he is. 💞

This boy is incredibly special, and we know his person is out there — someone who will look at Georgie and see what we see: a beautiful, sweet, one-of-a-kind soul who just wants to be loved. ❣️

Gabe is really ready for a foster home. ❤️

So many of you have been following Gabe’s story, and we are so happy to share that he went in for his final vet check last week, was neutered, and is now up to date on all of his vaccines. He was shaved down again, and while his skin is about 90% better — and nothing is contagious — he does still need some medicated mousse applied as he finishes healing.

What Gabe really needs now is the comfort and care of someone’s home. A quiet place to rest. A soft bed. A person to help him keep healing. He has been so brave through everything, and he deserves to feel safe, loved, and settled.

Yesterday, Gabe got to spend the day out on an Adventure Day with the kindest couple who came just to spoil him. They said he was wonderful in the car, great with kids, and just an incredibly gentle, sweet soul. Gabe is happy to go at a calm, easy pace while he continues to get his energy back — soaking up the little things, enjoying gentle love, and remembering what it feels like to be safe.

And as you can see from the car video, after his big day out, he was so happy, content, and tired. 🥹

If you can foster Gabe, please email [email protected] or send us a direct message.

Please share Gabe. He is so ready for a home. ❤️

Meet Misha 💛

This exceptionally sweet little Dalmatian mix is about 3–4 months old, currently around 20 pounds, and estimated to be about 45–55 pounds full grown.

Misha came to us with her mama, Daphne, who had just given birth to newborn puppies. We believe Misha may be Daphne’s daughter from a previous litter. Sadly, the whole little family was dumped in the Central Valley, but somehow Misha is still pure sunshine.

She is affectionate, loving, gentle, and just so eager to connect. The second you even look at her, she turns into all wiggly-butt tail wags. She’s submissive with other dogs and has one of the softest, sweetest little spirits.

Misha is truly one of those special pups who makes everyone melt. She’s ready for a family to love her, guide her, and give her the safe, happy puppyhood she deserves.

Foster Needed: Daphne + Her 4 Newborn Puppies 🖤🤍

Sadly, we continue to see so many pregnant mamas dumped in the fields of the Central Valley. Daphne was abandoned while extremely pregnant, picked up by a rescuer, and had her puppies just a day or two later.

Now Daphne and her four tiny babies have arrived at Family Dog Rescue, and they need a calm, patient foster home where this sweet mama can decompress and feel safe.

Daphne is around 40 lbs and appears to be some sort of Dalmatian mix. She is very sweet, but understandably protective of her week-old puppies until she knows she can trust you. Can you blame her? She has been through so much, and all she wants is to keep her little family safe.

We’re looking for a foster within about an hour of Sonoma who can give Daphne the patience, space, and comfort she needs while she settles in and realizes she’s finally safe.

Please help us get this little family into a loving home where Daphne can comfortably care for her babies.

Email [email protected] if you can help.
