“My work is more about your seeing than it is about my seeing, although it is a product of my seeing. I’m also interested in the sense of presence of space; that is space where you feel a presence, almost an entity — that physical feeling and power that space can give.”
- James Turrell
An icon in the world of light art, James Turrell is one of the many visual artists who’s work inspires us. His trailblazing installations have influenced our belief in creating artwork that does not result in a collectible object, but rather a personal experience for each viewer.

When you visit “The Octopus” in the interactive wall, don’t miss this abstracted body of the submarine suspended in two parts at either end of the atrium. It is bisected again along the imagined waterline dividing the upper wireframe and the projected underside, positioning the viewer below the submarine in the enchanted underwater world.
The easiest way to find the atrium is to go to The Fours restaurant on Cottage Ave in Quincy, MA. The atrium is located between Cottage Ave and the central plaza.

Go big or go home! No one is likely to leave without noticing these giant signs at Kilroy Square. HHH developed a visual identity that reflects this playful approach to placemaking, while incorporating Quincy’s history of shipbuilding and the story of Kilroy.
This installation occupies an interstitial space that would otherwise be treated as a corridor to get from plaza to the building entrance or adjacent streets. By activating this space with an art installation, it has been transformed into a destination that not only brightens the day of locals, but attracts visitors from far and wide into the emerging urban center of Downtown Quincy.
