last night was spent with my coven reflecting on all the things we are grateful for since Spring Equinox. as we turn toward the darker months, we also reflected on things we are ready to let go of. it was a lovely ritual and I can't thank my covenmates enough for always being such a strong force for good in my life ♥️

how do you celebrate Fall Equinox?

whether it's in a coven, a chosen family unit, or solo, here are some things you can do to pay homage to this time of year and the Mabon holiday on September 23rd:

- go apple picking
- cook with warming spices like cinnamon, nutmeg, and clove
- light candles at dusk
- prepare your favorite fall soup
- spend time with a black cat
- sort pumpkin seeds by hand
- prepare a bundle with harvested herbs (ask the earth for permission before picking!) and dry it for burning during the darker days of fall
- work on your Halloween costume
- make plans for a Samhain ritual
- say "goodbye and see you again soon" to the final sunflowers of the season
- take note of what you are grateful for since the coming of Spring
- release energy and projects that no longer serve you to make space for new manifestations to flow
- get ready for October by decorating your home for autumn
- (*ahem*) ... and shop your favorite witchy wares with Small Batch Witch!

we're sorry to share the sad news that we will no longer be vending at tonight's market due to compounding weather issues: heat advisory, flood watch, severe thunderstorm watch, and impending rain and high winds. we were slated to be outdoor vendors and these conditions aren't work risking.
