Getting stuck in my own airport?

Presidential TFRs are very common here during the Summer. And they always shutdown my airport when they’re active—mostly on weekends…

AOPA sends alert e-mails to all members when there’s a Presidential TFR that may impact them. And it actually saved me this time, because I’m not always checking other sources during the week.

Filing an IFR to fly just 7 miles was a first for me… but it worked!

I have my slips sometimes and this was one of them. I have no issues sharing them, we all make mistakes and it’s important to acknowledge them. The good news is all of my other comms that day were on point 😅🤘🏻
