Saint Rita Parish

Saint Mark was on fire as 90 women met for the Saint Rita Ladies Lenten Luncheon. Sr. Margaret Mach S.C. led the afternoon in prayer and reflection as all were called to ignite their lives in joy! Thanks to the team as it was a wonderful afternoon!

Yesterday, on the First Sunday of Lent, we prepared our hearts for the joy of Easter. Lent invites us to reflect, repent, and return to the Lord with renewed faith and trust. Like Jesus in the desert, we are called to rely on God’s word and grow stronger in spirit.

We also celebrated the Rite of Sending, as our catechumens and candidates are sent forth to participate in the Rite of Election with our bishop. Through prayer and blessing, our parish community affirms their readiness and promises continued support as they take this important step toward full initiation into the Church at Easter.

Let us keep them in our prayers throughout Lent, walking alongside them as one parish family.
