Once Upon a Camp Week 3 – Ocean Week! 🌊🐚

Our campers had a fin-tastic time exploring the ocean! They read There Was an Old Lady Who Swallowed a Shell, went gem mining, built sandcastles with kinetic sand, and completed a sea animal puzzle. Through hands-on play and imagination, campers practiced problem solving, creativity, and teamwork while diving into this week's beach adventure! 🐠🦀

Friday Fun at The Center for LifeSkills🌟

This week, our occupational therapy graduate students are becoming more hands on as they continue building their skills through real-life experiences with our clients!

From collaborative drawing activities to climbing wall challenges, our students are learning how to support motor skills, problem solving, social interaction, and confidence through meaningful play.

Hands on learning helps future therapists grow their clinical skills while creating fun, engaging experiences for the children they work with.

We love watching our students learn, connect, and grow alongside our clients✨

Milestone Monday!⭐️

This week, we’re highlighting developmental milestones for school-age children ages 6 to 7 years!

During this stage, children continue refining the skills they use every day at home, in school, and with peers. They are becoming more independent, strengthening attention and organization skills, improving coordination, and developing more complex language and social communication abilities.

While every child grows and learns at their own pace, understanding age-expected skills can help families recognize strengths, identify areas where extra support may be helpful, and celebrate progress along the way!✨
