The position for farm employee is immersed in learning the intricacies of food and flower production in a high-altitude climate. You will be provided an overview of basic sustainable agriculture practices including: soil fertility, w**d management, integrated pest management, succession planting, irrigation, and marketing. The work is very hands on and ideal for someone interested in applying an interest in sustainable food to a hands-on production farm.

We are currently looking for someone from May 2022 through September 2022, and will be paid hourly based on experience. This position is 20 hours/ week. There is some flexibility to accommodate other job(s). One weekend per month for the summer season, the employee will be responsible for attending the Farmers’ Market on behalf of Juniper Farm- the employee will be responsible for selling products at the Farmers’ Market, set-up/breakdown for the market, irrigating the farm, and managing harvests for the market. This aspect of the job requires a self starter and someone who is competent working independently on the farm.
