🎓Senior Spotlight: Kira Hunter🎓
When Kira first came to Two Rivers, they were searching for a school environment that truly fit their learning style. At Two Rivers Kira found a place where they could explore their interests, learn independently, and grow with confidence. Through meaningful college field trips, explorative interest groups, and a hands-on internship that helped build valuable career skills, Kira discovered both direction and purpose for the future. Enthusiastic and determined, Kira thrived under the Two Rivers learning model, turning every challenge into an opportunity for growth. Their resilience, curiosity, and drive have made a lasting impact on our community. We can’t wait to see all the amazing things Kira accomplishes in this next chapter!✨

Last week, all staff and students went on our annual field trip up to Snoqualmie Pass. Students could choose between various outdoor activities. Our biking group started the morning with breakfast at the pass before riding all the way back to Two Rivers, which is about 30 miles! Way to go!😅 Others explored the abandoned railroad tunnel along The Snoqualmie Valley Trail. Cold and dark, but we came prepared! Back at the Berghaus, students went on a nature scavenger hunt or got an introduction into fly fishing all while taking in the beautiful mountain views. After a full day of activities, everyone enjoyed a delicious bratwurst lunch. A huge thank you to Jim and Ingrid Garhart for helping make this field trip possible by sharing their mountain home with us and hosting such a wonderful lunch. Thanks to Coach Kinnune, as well, for helping out in the kitchen! We are so grateful for this opportunity and were extra grateful for the weather.
