Rhino Getaways

Ok...here is my HONEST ASSESSMENT of Exuma, Bahamas:

PROS-

1. The landscape is absolutely gorgeous.
2. This place has the clearest bluest greenish water I’ve ever seen.
3. The people are friendly and will go out of their way to help you.
4. Interesting food... like grouper stew and conch salad.
5. The tours to the surrounding islands are really fun and informative...best part of the trip! Swimming with pigs, petting and feeding sharks, wild iguanas and stingrays and finding queen conch was amazing. For info on this google “Coastline Adventures Exuma”. Ask for Bob.

CONS-

1. Everything here is SHOCKINGLY expensive. For example... $40 for a 5 minute taxi ride. $15 for a half gallon of chocolate ice cream. $19 for a hamburger.

2. Not clean. I’ve yet to visit a restaurant here that wouldn’t fail a U.S. health inspection

3. The infrastructure here is crumbling. The main road here looks like something you’d see in a trailer park.

4. The stores close at 5pm and open at 11am. If you want anything from the store after 5pm, you are out of luck.

4. Stray dogs are EVERYWHERE.

To sum up:

If you’re looking for a fun adventure that is off the beaten path then this should be on your bucket list. The sights alone are worth it, however if you are used to a luxury vacation, you may be disappointed.
