Bring your own supplies (4.5–5 mm hook + acrylic worsted weight yarn) or use instructor-provided materials.

Chapter 7: Closing One Chapter 🦋❤️

At the beginning of 2021, I made the difficult decision to close Butterfly Boutique's storefront in Suite 2119 and move the business back home.

The way people were shopping had changed, and the storefront had become more of a pickup location than a place where customers browsed. It was a hard decision, but I knew it was the right one.

I set up a small boutique in our sunroom and moved my workspace upstairs. While it felt like I was taking a step backward, I never stopped believing in the business or looking for what came next.

Sometimes growth doesn't look like expanding. Sometimes it looks like adapting.
Looking back, I realize this wasn't the end of the story—it was simply the beginning of another chapter.

Chapter 6: When Everything Changed ❤️

Like so many small businesses, 2020 brought challenges I never could have imagined.
When COVID shut everything down in March, I knew I had to find a way to keep my business going. I started sewing face masks from old LuLaRoe leggings, then switched to making them from whatever cotton fabric I could find. Over the next few months, I sewed and sold more than 1,000 masks.

Those masks helped keep Butterfly Boutique going during one of the most uncertain times I had ever experienced.

When we were finally able to reopen in May, another chapter began. I bought my very first Cricut, my first heat press, and a whole stack of vinyl and started making custom T-shirts.
Looking back now, it's amazing to realize that the Cricut I bought during COVID is still the same one I use today for projects at AMC Collective.

Sometimes the biggest challenges lead us in directions we never expected, and this was one of those moments.
