Camp Alonim Community: The Brandeis-Bardin Campus remains under mandatory evacuation orders overnight due to the Sandy Fire. The campus has been secured, and all non-essential staff and residents have been safely evacuated. Animals have been cared for, and our Torah scrolls have been safely moved.

Fire crews, engines, and security personnel remain onsite throughout the night as a precautionary measure, while the AJU emergency response team continues to monitor conditions closely with local authorities.

Thank you for your care, concern, and support. We will continue to share updates as new information becomes available.

The Sandy Fire is currently burning west of the campus, and we are closely monitoring the situation in communication with local authorities. At this time, the campus is safe. We’re grateful for the many excellent healthcare professionals working to keep campers safe and healthy each summer. Camp Alonim is lucky to have our Health Center Coordinator Nurse Cindy, Charge Nurse Heather, and Charge Nurse Nicole leading the way in our Health Center in Summer 2026.
