About Miss Georgia (who just also happens to be our amazing piano, voice, trumpet and violin teacher) was introduced to ballroom dance in 2008 and went on to train with Arthur Murray Dance Studios, where she worked as a dance instructor for nearly a decade. During this time, she taught both private and group lessons, working primarily with adult learners from a wide range of backgrounds. Her teaching emphasizes musical connection, foundational dance patterns, clear leading and following, and strong rhythmic awareness. Her goal is to build students’ confidence so they can move with ease, connection, and enjoyment—especially in social dance settings.

Georgia will be offering two different classes, Latin and Swing, each as a 5 week series, each with their own extra "Dance Social" at the end of each course. Full Schedule and descriptions detailed below...

Beginner Latin dances - 5 Classes + 1 Social Dance

This Latin Dance Course meets every week for 5 weeks and offers an introduction to three dance styles: Salsa, Bachata, and Merengue. Students will learn the basic steps and rhythms of each style with the goal of dancing comfortably and confidently to music by the end of the course. Designed for beginner adult learners. No partner required. Max enrollment 14

Beginner Swing Dance— 5 Classes + 1 Social Dance

-April 9th thru May 7th
- May 14th Dance Social! $10 min suggested donation

This swing course meets every week for five weeks and introduces two styles of swing: Hustle Swing and Single-Time Swing. The focus is on building confidence dancing to music while developing a strong foundation through timing, connection, and 2–3 essential step patterns in each style. Designed for beginner adult learners. No partner required. Max enrollment 14

Pricing:

• $70 per course individual / $130 per course couple

• Social dance $10 suggested donation per guest, Free for enrolled dance students

Location:
The dance class will be held in our soon to be transformed back warehouse space. It has painted concrete floors Georgia assures me will be great for dancing. We may have folks enter from the back door for this class.
