Rooted in my love of Mathematics and geometric simplicity, I create visually strikingly pieces of art from wood that are also household items. My work focuses on using colorful and expressive woods for everyday objects such as coasters, keepsake boxes and doll house tables. I painstakingly hand craft and finish each piece to bring out the natural beauty of the woods I have chosen.

Feeling the need to get away from everything I make being box-shaped. So, the first thing I had to make was another box. Having done that, beginning to have some success bending wood. I’m amazed once a piece is bent and cooled it is as rigid in its new shape as it was when straight.

Like I said, I came back from NYC with a horrible flu. All I could manage to do was lay around and watch “The Great British Bake Off”. Anyway, did a mock-up of a Yosegi pattern I’m going to have to try.

Last day of the show. Always fun to spend a weekend in New York City. Once I get back and get some proper sleep, I get all the leftover inventory up on Etsy. Hopefully enough time for any orders to arrive before Christmas.
