Mauritanian economist Sidi Ould Tah has been elected as the 9th President of the African Development Bank. With 76% of the vote, he will succeed Akinwunmi Adesina starting September 1. Tah brings extensive experience, including leadership at the Arab Bank for Economic Development in Africa. His appointment comes at a pivotal time as the AfDB faces financial challenges and aims to strengthen infrastructure development across the continent. ”

Africa is many countries and regions. Africans are not authorities on ALL of Africa.

Don't assume that Africans know ALL of Africa because slavetrade bundled us regardless of origins and language. Don't decry the lack of knowledge either.
