This morning, SEEC celebrated the ribbon cutting for our new IDEA (Innovate, Design, Empower, Access) Lab with partners, supporters, families, and community leaders. The IDEA Lab is an inclusive public maker space and assistive technology library where people with disabilities and direct support professionals can explore, test, and create solutions together. We believe the best ideas come from the people who use them. By trying low- and high-tech tools, people can build skills, increase independence, and have more choice in everyday life. As April comes to a close, we recognize the profound impact volunteers have on communities. This month, Ethan Litvin MA, SEEC's Partnership Coordinator, visited Interfaith Works and SEEC's cooking class to celebrate National Volunteer Month. He shared that it was inspiring to see the people SEEC supports giving back to their communities, and people from the community giving back to SEEC!
