Querido entrenador

Esperábamos que los niños pudieran jugar al menos una temporada de fútbol parcial, pero en este punto esa posibilidad ya no existe. Según la guía del gobernador Hogan, estamos cancelando la temporada de primavera para Takoma Soccer.

Por favor envíe un mensaje a las familias de su equipo. Hágales saber que la temporada está cancelada y que deberían estar atentos a un anuncio oficial de la liga.

Si nuestro mensaje se envía antes de que pueda enviar su mensaje, envíe el suyo de todos modos. En el caso de que nuestro mensaje termine en spam, queremos asegurarnos de que todos sean notificados.

Un par de otras cosas:

TEMPORADA DE OTOÑO: Suponiendo que los cursos estén abiertos, estamos planeando comenzar a jugar el fin de semana del 19 al 20 de septiembre. La inscripción en línea se abrirá en julio. Todas las familias serán notificadas cuando sea el momento de registrarse.

13 de marzo de 2020: la siguiente es una declaración conjunta oficial de la Liga de Campeones de Clubes (CCL), la Liga Nacional de Fútbol Capital (NCSL), la Liga de Fútbol de Virginia (VSL), la Liga de Fútbol Skyline Club (SCSL) y la Liga de Fútbol Old Dominion ( ODSL).
Debido a la incertidumbre que rodea a COVID-19 (Coronavirus), por precaución y en consideración al bienestar de todos los jugadores, familias, entrenadores, equipos y clubes, CCL, NSCL, VSL, SCSL y ODSL pospondrá todo juego de la liga con efecto inmediato y hasta el 12 de abril de 2020.
Todos continuaremos jugando la liga el fin de semana del 18 al 19 de abril. Actualmente, cada liga está explorando horarios modificados para obtener la mayor cantidad de partidos durante la temporada de primavera.

March 13, 2020 – The following is an Official Joint Statement from the Club Champions League (CCL), National Capital Soccer League (NCSL), Virginia Soccer League (VSL), Skyline Club Soccer League (SCSL), and Old Dominion Soccer League (ODSL).
Due to the uncertainty surrounding COVID-19 (Coronavirus), out of an abundance of caution, and in consideration of the well-being of all players, families, coaches, teams, and clubs, the CCL, NSCL, VSL, SCSL and ODSL will postpone all league play effective immediately and through April 12, 2020.
We will all continue league play the weekend of April 18-19. Each league is currently exploring modified schedules to get as many matches in during the Spring season.
We remain committed to protecting our members health and will evaluate conditions daily and will communicate any changes as needed.
We encourage all our members to follow guidance from their clubs, local health departments, local officials, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and the World Health Organization (WHO).

EDP Soccer and its Leadership Council team up to explore solutions for 2020.

Dear EDP Family,

As we all continue to grapple with the COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic, we are reminded of the importance of working together to get through these difficult times.

The health and safety of our youth soccer community remains of utmost importance. Consequently, we have postponed our league season, as well as the EDP Spring Classic tournaments, originally scheduled for March.

"We will continue to closely monitor the situation and will adhere to the recommendations and guidelines of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), as well as national, state and local public authorities," said Steve Shilling, CEO, EDP Soccer.

As part of our commitment to youth soccer, we have established an internal team that is working closely with the EDP Leadership Council, led by Chair John Ellinger, which is meeting weekly, to evaluate the evolving COVID-19 situation, as well as develop solutions to resume soccer programming and deliver a meaningful 2020 soccer experience as soon as possible.

The EDP Leadership Council ensures that the voices and perspectives of member clubs are integrated into the process. Conversations with US Youth Soccer and its member State Associations about their respective programming are also being incorporated.

This is a moment in history that transcends sport. While soccer is a significant thread in the fabric of our lives, there remains a bigger picture, which we must not lose sight of.

Stay well and stay safe as we join together to meet today's challenges.
