Petals and Ink

Sometimes, picking up a new skill is about so much more than the skill itself—it’s about discovering who you are in the process. When I started painting, I learned to embrace layers, knowing they could correct mistakes and create something even more beautiful. Now, as I’m learning to sew, I’m discovering the value of patience and the courage to go back and redo something when needed. I’m realizing it doesn’t have to be perfect the first time to still be meaningful, presentable, and worth celebrating.

And along the way, I’m gaining the actual skill of sewing—which, let’s be honest, is pretty amazing in itself!

I find so much joy in creating.
